Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
The miracle power of God is real. The promises that God makes are true. The difficulty of application for us is discerning God's timing. When we are believing God for something we tend to place an urgency on it that makes us impatient. God is not in a hurry. God is not going to be hurried by us. He knows what He wants to do. He knows when He wants to do it. He is faithful and will fulfill His promises, but He is not impressed by our tantrums. Sara considered God faithful and yet she still had to wait. The Lord kept the promise that was made but there was a twentyfive year gap between promise and realization. We will enjoy what God has promised, but we need to learn whatever lessons He is teaching in the meantime. There is no need to be miserable while we wait. There is no need to compound the situation we may be in further by moving ahead of God. We will wait as long as it takes anyway. We might as well grow in grace while we are waiting. Work it out!
